The Music you used in the first bit deserves its own video for the Artist. Suzumu Hirasawa is a genius and has been making Music since the 80s. Last thing I remember was also that he was big on Environment and renewable Energy? At least his Live concents many years ago used it. Recommend his small outside concert "Susumu Hirasawa - Berserk Forces 1.5 Live 2001" Here on youtube. His "newer" concerts are a really cool sight to behold! People know him best for his Berserk Anime Song Forces.

Maybe this is just my love of Berserk and hate of Nietzsche and his philosophies speaking, but I think as many parallels as there are Berserk is actually showing how his views are wrong, more than they are about them. Griffith is shown as this otherworldy being above everyone else, but we also see him being flawed and petty and contradicting himself, and in the chapters that came out after this video we learn how much he craves for what he already had, even after basically achieving his dream. On the other hand, Guts is finding his dream and starting to live for himself, but we also see how more important than anything else is the journey he has to get there and the connections he has with others, instead of just standing on his own. That's the way I see it at least.

I know this comment is super late but I just wanted to put a little caveat on your point about Okabe’s final line. On its surface, it definitely might seem like this is him submitting to some higher power but you’ve got to remember the origins of the phrase. Episode three establishes that Okabe’s talk about steins gate is comepletely meaningless. The phrase has no given meaning or value beyond that Okabe uses it. In many ways, the show works to break this part of Okabe down. Throughout the show, Mayuri does again and again as Pkabe is powerless to do anything, Okabe is at the will of determinism. But the show doesn’t see this determinism as an immutable thing. If it did then then Okabe would likely have never saved Kurisu. He would have lived on in the alpha line and called this a victory. Instead, he doesn’t stop there, he pushes on and rewrites the world to suite his own design. ‘Steins gate’ as a phrase is symbolic of Okabe’s force of will and desire to overcome these issues.

It's interesting how Guts has changed since this video has come out & has embraced the party & relying on others. Perhaps Miura was intending on using The Black Swordsman Party as a foil to the Band of the Hawk; thus, pivoting away from Nietzsche and nihilism. Makes you wonder, RIP Miura.

I have the opposite interpretation in many ways. It seems to me that the show is starkly anti-deterministic and pro-free will in its themes. Okabe is beat down by fate, he is unable to change the world and enact other possible outcomes from what has been realized (essentially determinism) and that would be that if the show stopped there, but it doesn't. Because Okabe (or Kyouma) rejects fate, rejects a pre-set outcome, rejects that our decisions can't alter the future. He defies fate and creates his own best possible world. This, to be, seems as pro-Contra-Causal-Free-Will as a story can get. Regarding time travel, the existence of future facts doesn't necessarily invalidate the ability to choose otherwise. Consider a B-theory block universe where each moment exists as a time slice across this 4D entity. If Fred is choosing between A and B at T1 and chooses B and T2, as long as this choice is contingently true his action may still be free in spite of it being set: the future is set to what Fred FREELY chose. This model is only deterministic if given T1, T2 necessarily follows. Furthermore, Stein's Gate emphasizes there isn't one future, someone's actions, like Okabe, can completely alter the set future.
